Our Services

The LSVT BIG® program, offered by Neuro Hope, is a specialized and evidence-based therapy designed to help individuals with Parkinsonʼs disease improve their movements and quality of life.

Through focused exercises and techniques, the program emphasizes bigger and more controlled movements, enhancing mobility, confidence, and overall function. The program is both intensive and complex with a focus on repetitions of movements and activities that are used in day-to-day life. It is tailored to each clientʼs own ability and goals.

The LSVT BIG® program protocol is standardized and consists of:

  1. An assessment session
  2. Treatment sessions: four consecutive days a week for four consecutive weeks
  3. Daily home exercise practise (20-30 minutes per day)
  4. A follow-up re-assessment and possible review sessions as recommended by your therapist.

SENSe stands for the Study of the Effectiveness of Neurorehabilitation on Sensation. It is a program specifically crafted to assist stroke survivors in re-establishing their sense of touch and seamlessly integrating it into daily activities.

Simple tasks like handshakes, arm positioning, and object handling can pose challenges for stroke survivors, with many experiencing difficulty sensing limb location and touch even years after the event.

Built on a solid understanding of post-stroke brain recovery, the SENSe rehabilitation program enables individuals to learn new skills and rehabilitation months or even years later. The SENSe program is reinforced by evidence-based assessment tools and therapy techniques.

At Neuro Hope, our skilled therapists offer a specialized upper limb program designed to aid individuals in recovering functionality, strength, and dexterity in their arms and hands after a stroke.

Through a carefully tailored combination of techniques, exercises, and evidence-based strategies, our program addresses the challenges stroke survivors may face in performing everyday tasks. Our goal is to empower individuals on their journey to regain independence and enhance their quality of life by improving upper limb function.

With a focus on personalized care and guided by our therapistsʼ expertise, the program at Neuro Hope aims to help individuals achieve their upper limb goals.

Please discuss with your therapist if you wish to explore the option of therapy via telehealth.
